Dr. Nissan Kahen established his first medical clinic in East Los Angeles in 1984, under the name South Atlantic Medical Group. Subsequent to 1984, Dr. Kahen added five additional clinic locations and in 2001 founded SAMG IPA along with his brother Paul Kahen. Today SAMG IPA represents over 150 Primary Care Physicians and several hundred Medical Specialists throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. SAMG IPA is responsible for coordinating care for over 30,000 lives through multiple health plans including HMO’s, Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Medicare Advantage and Medi-Medi Products.
